It’s been a year since EDM superstar Avicii took his own life, but his legacy lives on through the posthumous album, Tim, which arrives today.

Titled after the DJ’s real name—Tim Bergling—the album was a labor of love by Avicii’s closest friends and collaborators. Tim was crafted from “a collection of nearly finished songs, along with notes, email conversations and text messages about the music,” according to a statement. The 12-track LP features contributions from producers Vargas & Lagola, Carl Falk and Bonn, as well as vocals from Aloe Blacc, Imagine Dragons and more. The record also includes previously released singles “SOS” and “Tough Love.”

“When someone close to you passes, the emptiness becomes a mission,” Falk told The Guardian. “[Bergling] told me that [working on Tim before he passed] was the first time he’d enjoyed making music in years, so I had to make [the record] as good as I possibly could to honor him and our friendship.”
