Krewella unveil creepy video for new song, “Ghost”

They’re working on their much-delayed sophomore album.

Sister duo Krewella have released a haunting video for their latest single, “Ghost.”

In the clip, the Yousaf sisters don metal masks and bulletproof vests while performing in a club with flashing neon lights. “Nobody can run me, I’m in control / Never gonna love me when my heart is so cold / Nobody can touch me, everybody knows / Never dead and gone, you can’t kill a ghost,” they harmonize over a vocal sample of their father singing a Pakistani raga chant.

“We always strive to dissect our most inexplicable feelings, and this track lyrically and sonically embodies the notion of how far we’ll go to protect ourselves after catastrophe,” Krewella said in a press statement. “How pain transforms us [and] how comforting it can be to find ourselves alone after the storm has passed.”

Krewella are currently working on their long-awaited sophomore album, the follow-up to their successful 2013 debut Get Wet. Last year, the duo dropped a remix of Bazzi’s “Mine.”
