Kaytranada, Lucky Daye share bloody video for “Look Easy”

The short film takes cues from old-school Japanese gangster flicks.

Kaytranada and Lucky Daye have dropped a short film treatment for their latest collaboration “Look Easy.”

The grainy Xavier Tera-directed short depicts a mysterious woman, referred to only as “the girl,” who is knocked out and kidnapped by a yakuza gang. However, to their surprise, she awakens en route to their lair, escapes, and goes on a bloody crusade against her captors. The chagrined yakuza leader reports her escape to his bosses—who turn out to be Kaytranada and Lucky—but soon falls victim to the lady as well, who indeed makes vengeance “Look Easy.”

The release follows a string of visuals for tracks off Kaytranada’s star-studded 2019 album Bubba, including “The Worst in Me” with Tinashe, “Need it” with Masego, “10%” featuring Kali Uchis and “Puff Lah.”

In September, he also dropped a remix of Dua Lipa’s single “Don’t Start Now.” Lucky Daye, on the other hand, was recently tapped for SG Lewis’ Times cut “Feed the Fire” and Buddy’s raunchy single “Faces.”
