James Blake has dropped a video for “Barefoot in the Park,” his haunting collaboration with Catalonian flamenco artist Rosalía from his latest album, Assume Form.
The clip, directed by Diana Kunst and Mau Morgo, opens with an arresting image of two children standing beside burning cars that have collided with each other. Then, both artists walk through an industrial neighborhood, singing in both English and Spanish as they observe their child-selves on the other side of the street, growing up before their eyes.
The video has a few surreal tricks up its sleeve, which won’t surprise those who’ve watched Blake’s previous trippy video for “Mile High” with Travis Scott.
