Hear Kygo’s remix of Donna Summer’s “Hot Stuff”

Following his reworks of Whitney Houston and Tina Turner.

Kygo has released a bouncing remix of Donna Summer’s 1979 hit “Hot Stuff,” his latest take on a classic dance track.

Unlike his recent reworks of Tina Turner’s “What’s Love Got to Do With it” and Whitney Houston’s “Higher Love,” Kygo’s take on “Hot Stuff” sticks closer to the track’s original disco roots. The remix arrives with a music video depicting a whirlwind romance between Netflix’s Outer Banks stars—not to mention on- and off-screen lovers—Chase Stokes and Madelyn Cline.

“Donna Summer is one of my favorite artists of all time,” the Norwegian DJ gushed in a statement. “Her catalog of music is brilliant and her vocals are unmatched. I am honored and humbled to get to work on an iconic track like ‘Hot Stuff.’ This has always been one of those songs that instantly puts me in a good mood and I hope that this version can continue to bring joy and happiness to people.”

Prior to this run of remixes, Kygo released in 2015 a remix of Marvin Gaye’s 1982 funk classic “Sexual Healing.” In May, he dropped his third studio LP, Golden Hour. Guest stars on the 18-track album included OneRepublic, Valerie Broussard, Zara Larsson, Tyga, Zak Abel and more.
