Hayden James, Gorgon City, Nat Dunn drop “Foolproof”

The Aussie producer had teased the new single during a set in Melbourne last month.

Hayden James has kicked off 2021 with “Foolproof,” a new collaborative single with Gorgon City and Nat Dunn.

The Sydney producer’s latest shines with bright house-inflected production and Dunn’s striking vocals. “Foolproof” marks the second time Dunn has jumped on a track with James, following their previous collab “Favours” for James’ 2019 debut album Between Us.

“‘Foolproof’ is a very special record for me,” James shared in a statement. “I’m such a big fan of Gorgon City and of course Nat Dunn and this song came together so naturally in the studio. Great to have this record out, as it was the last studio session I had before lockdown.”

James teased “Foolproof” during a headlining show in Melbourne for Untitled Group at the end of February. It was the second event from the arts collective that celebrated the return of in-person concerts in Australia.

Last year, James released “Right Time” with Icona Pop and his Waves of Gold DJ Mix containing tracks from Bob Moses, Cassian, Einmusik and OCULA. A new take on Gorgon City’s remix of “Poseidon” by Local Dialect also appeared on the project, alongside “Waves of Gold,” an original from James featuring Azteck and Paije.
