Hannah Diamond has released “Part of Me,” her first single of the year and a collaboration with PC Music labelmate Danny L Harle.
The track comes almost a year after “True,” Diamond’s comeback single after a two-year absence. “Part of Me” glitches between bubblegum pop, industrial experimentation and dub drops—a far cry from its initial conception as a “sleepy song,” as Harle said in a statement.
He explained how the song developed into its final form: “As the lyrics came together we worked out there was a possibility for there to be this repressed inner excitement/keenness that could come out in a really hard section.”
