Gesaffelstein surprises fans with new EP, ‘Novo Sonic System’

The follow-up to March’s ‘Hyperion.’

Last Friday, Gesaffelstein treated fans to a new surprise EP titled Novo Sonic System.

The six-track project is filled with ’80s-inspired instrumental tracks that harken back to his acclaimed 2013 debut, Aleph. The EP, which draws influences from punk rock and techno, arrives just a month before the producer is set to embark on his 12-stop tour across North America.

Novo Sonic System comes just six months after the release of the French producer’s much-anticipated sophomore album Hyperion. The star-studded record included “Lost in the Fire,” featuring The Weeknd, and the Pharrell Williams-assisted “Blast Off.”
