Gesaffelstein, Pharrell “Blast Off” in new MV

The latest cut from ‘Hyperion’ to receive the visual treatment.

Fresh off his successful Coachella set, Gesaffelstein—real name Mike Lévy—has dropped a moody visual for “Blast Off,” featuring Pharrell.

The futuristic Warren Fu-directed video features Pharrell performing the song while wearing gold-tinted shades. But when he takes off the sunglasses, light comes shooting out of his eyes, Cyclops-style. Shots of the French DJ producing beats at a futuristic-looking console are intercut throughout the clip.

“Blast Off” is a cut from Lévy’s sophomore album, Hyperion, which dropped in March. The DJ-producer previously released visuals for “Reset” and “Lost in the Fire,” featuring The Weeknd.
