Flying Lotus links up with Denzel Curry on “Black Balloons Reprise”

‘Flamagra’ is just on the horizon.

Flying Lotus’ forthcoming album, Flamagra, is stacked with powerful collaborations. The latest in that list is “Black Balloons Reprise,” which features Floridian rapper Denzel Curry.

Curry has a song of his own titled “Black Balloons”—from his acclaimed 2018 album TA13OO—but this Flylo track heads down a different route. Its beat is dedicated to Madlib and Egon, the producer revealed in a YouTube comment.

“When I was in college I heard Quas’ ‘Come on Feet,’” he wrote. “It relit my love for sampling and eventually changed my world. Love to you legends.”
