Flying Lotus, Denzel Curry drop video for “Black Balloons Reprise”

A surreal ‘Flamagra’ visual with a shoutout to Mac Miller.

Flying Lotus has released a video for “Black Balloons Reprise,” his collaboration with Denzel Curry.

Director Jack Begert fills the black-and-white clip with arresting imagery: A massive black balloon pops in reverse, Curry’s shadow sprouts devil’s horns and a plume of smoke spirals from Flylo’s car. At one point, the producer pulls up his sweatshirt to reveal a shirt with Mac Miller’s face and name on it.

“Black Balloons Reprise”—whose title refers to Curry’s own 2018 song “Black Balloons”—appears on Flamagra, the album Flying Lotus released in May. The record also features “More” featuring Anderson .Paak, “Spontaneous” featuring Little Dragon and more.

Last month, Curry released a video for “Speedboat,” from his 2019 album ZUU. He also recently appeared on Glass Animals’ new song, “Tokyo Drifting.”
