Each week, we pick the newest electronic music tracks, albums and music videos to have on your radar. Here are our favorites:
“Hold Me Back” by Autograf, John Splithoff
Autograf has dropped a new single, “Hold Me Back.” The Chicago-based electronic duo layers John Splithoff’s soulful vocals over a groovy bassline and dancefloor-ready beats. The song is the first track from their forthcoming EP, Love and Retrograde.
Jag Trax by DJ Jenifa
British electronic musician Gold Panda has released Jag Trax, a free album under the moniker DJ Jenifa. The record, as described by the producer on Facebook, consists of “live takes [with] no post editing or additional nonsense.” Stream it above, or download it for free at Bandcamp.
“Throwaway” by SG Lewis, Clairo
The dreamy, loved-up “Throwaway” is the second collaboration between SG Lewis and Clairo, following last June’s “Better.” The producer incorporates Clairo’s layered vocals over finger snaps, bright synths and a mellow beat.
Hi This is Flume by Flume
Flume is back with his long-awaited mixtape, Hi This is Flume, with appearances from JPEGMAFIA, slowthai, Kučka and more. The Aussie musician experiments with IDM and glitch music on the 17-track project, alongside his usual future bass tunes.
“On My Way” by Alan Walker, Sabrina Carpenter, Farruko
Alan Walker’s debut album, Different World, is barely three months old, but the EDM megastar is already back with fresh music. His new single, “On My Way,” features vocals from singer Sabrina Carpenter and reggaeton artist Farruko and is an infectious, club-ready banger.
