Diplo has released a music video for his Noah Cyrus collaboration “On Mine,” from his country music album Diplo Presents Thomas Wesley, Chapter 1: Snake Oil.
In the video, the producer and singer head to a working horse ranch, taking frequent breaks to dance and ride their steeds amongst the hay. “On Mine” is the latest track from Snake Oil to get a visual treatment, following “Do Si Do” featuring Blanco Brown, “Lonely” featuring the Jonas Brothers and “So Long” featuring Cam.
Despite Diplo’s extensive list of projects and long-running presence in pop, his new album is just his second studio LP ever, closing a 16-year gap following his 2004 debut Florida. The producer aims to keep his various musical endeavors—from Major Lazer to Jack Ü with Skrillex and LSD with Labrinth and Sia—distinct, he told Billboard recently.
“My main goal is to try and keep [all my projects] independent, because I don’t want them to all blend together,” he said. “But it’s hard because you can’t control the way fans process the stream of information you give them about who and what you are. I can take off the cowboy hat, but that’s about it.”
With this track, Noah Cyrus follows her sister Miley Cyrus’ flirtation with country music, a genre their father Billy Ray Cyrus reigned over in the early ’90s with his hit song “Achy Breaky Heart.” In May, Noah released the EP The End of Everything.
