David Lynch tells a creepy story in Flying Lotus’ “Fire is Coming” video

The acclaimed producer has announced a new album.

Flying Lotus is finally back with “Fire is Coming,” a new song with none other than cult filmmaker and Twin Peaks creator David Lynch.

The spine-chilling track features Lynch telling a short story about a boy named Tommy, his distorted voice complemented by tumbling piano notes and creeping synths. At first, “Fire is Coming” might seem a little too atmospheric to have come from the Los Angeles producer, but the clattering beat that emerges towards its conclusion marks it as an unquestionably FlyLo production.

“Fire is Coming” is the world’s first glimpse of Flamagra, FlyLo’s new 27-track album out May 24. It follows his acclaimed 2014 record, You’re Dead!, and besides Lynch will feature the likes of Denzel Curry, Solange, George Clinton, Tierra Whack, Shabazz Palaces, Thundercat, Toro Y Moi, Anderson .Paak and Little Dragon.
