David Guetta battles Danny Trejo in new video

There’s some serious kung fu choreography in the clip for “Flames,” inspired by old-school martial arts flicks.

Ever wanted to see David Guetta play a supervillain who shoots fireballs from his palms? Yeah, neither did we, but in the DJ’s video for “Flames,” dropped yesterday, we’ll get to see him pull out some Mortal Kombat moves against legit martial artists and the one-and-only Danny Trejo ???.

In the clip for the Sia-assisted track, Guetta stars as an evil emperor who captures a trio of kung fu heroines, played by Lauren Mary Kim, Courtney Chen and Erin Wu. They’re seasoned actresses who have notched plenty of martial arts shows under their black belts. Trejo takes on the mantle as their shi fu, a white-bearded figure who looks to be inspired by Kill Bill’s Pai Mei.

In fact, the entire video channels the old-school kung fu vibes of Quentin Tarantino’s film. Grainy footage, shaky camera work, over-the-top action sequences and the mandatory credits sequence all proudly appear here.
