Darkside release live album of one of their final performances

Recorded in 2014, a month before they announced their hiatus.

Darkside—the now-inactive duo of Nicolás Jaar and Dave Herrington—have released Psychic Live July 17 2014, a six-track live album.

The recording was captured during Darkside’s performance at Belgium’s Dour Festival, where the electronic duo offered fans a setlist heavy on their 2013 studio album Psychic. It was only a month after the 2014 set that the group announced an indefinite hiatus, wrapping up with a final show at the Brooklyn Masonic Temple. Darkside have maintained their silence ever since.

Both Jaar and Herrington have flourishing solo careers. This year alone, Jaar released the albums Cenizas and Telas, plus the LP 2017-2019 under the project Against All Logic. Harrington recently appeared on Adult Swim’s modern jazz compilation New Jazz Century, and put out two new songs with Kenny Wollesen: “Investigate & Enjoy” and “It’s Too Late to Look at the Blossoms.”
