Danny L Harle announces new album, ‘Harlecore’

It will be both an album and an interactive online club experience.

Danny L Harle has announced his ambitious new album Harlecore by releasing its first two singles—DJ Danny’s “On a Mountain” and MC Boing’s “Boing Beat.”

Billed as both a concept album and an interactive experience, Harlecore is set to merge Harle’s brand of electronic pop with avant garde forays into hardcore, gabber and ambient music. The Harlecore world is set within a club found in an alternate dimension, where four resident DJs deliver music through the internet 24 hours a day. The performers—DJ Danny, MC Boing, DJ Mayhem and DJ Ocean—all headline their own rooms in the virtual club and spin their songs, also found on Harle’s new album.

Harle’s airy trance-derived DJ Danny single “On a Mountain” is paired with a computer-generated visual that renders a high-tech DJ performance from Harle as he hurtles into another dimension. Conversely, MC Boing delivers a frantic, unrelenting mákina beat on the compact “Boing Beat.” With such contrasting tracks on offer immediately, Harle teases a head-spinningly diverse Harlecore experience.
