Caribou—aka Canadian producer Dan Snaith—has announced his new album, Suddenly, with the exquisite single “You and I.”

The laid-back track, which features summery synths and ambient tones, is a representative snapshot of Snaith’s upcoming LP, he explained in a statement. “The track changes suddenly and unpredictably, and it is about a change in my life that happened out of the blue,” he said.

“‘You and I’ was one of the first tracks on the album that I started, and one of the last tracks I finished,” Snaith added. “It existed in some form or other throughout the whole arc of making the record.”

Suddenly, the follow-up to 2014’s Our Love, is due out February 28, 2020 via Merge Records. The record will include the previously released track “Home.” Earlier this year, Snaith released the track “Sizzling” under his Daphni moniker.
