Calvin Harris drops retro, karaoke-style lyric video for “Promises”

The award-winning producer’s latest offering features Sam Smith.

Calvin Harris and Sam Smith recently collaborated on a new song, “Promises.” Alongside its release last Friday, they’ve also shared a spellbinding, lo-fi lyric video featuring the duo and their pals as they hit up a club.

The song—co-written by Harris with the help of Jessie Reyez—is an upbeat dance pop tune with hints of disco. “Are you drunk enough? / Not to judge what I’m doing / Are you high enough? / To excuse that I’m ruined,” Smith croons on the opening verse before Reyez jumps in on the chorus.

There’s no clue if the single is set to appear on either artist’s upcoming albums, or if the track’s simply a one-off for fans. But for the time being, enjoy their collab below:
