Avicii receives moving tribute in video for “Heaven”

Featuring never-before-seen footage of the DJ on vacation.

Avicii might have passed more than a year ago, but his friends and family are keeping his memory alive through his music. The DJ’s close friend, director Levan Tsikurishvili, has released a touching video for “Heaven.”

The clip follows Avicii and Tsikurishvili during their 2016 trip to an island in Madagascar, contrasting never-before-seen footage of the DJ with identical shots where he’s no longer in the frame. The visual ends with the words “In loving memory: Tim Bergling: 1989-Forever” superimposed over a gorgeous shot of lanterns floating away from the island.

“Heaven” is a cut from the posthumous Avicii album, Tim, which also features tracks like the Aloe Blacc-assisted “SOS” and “Tough Love,” featuring Agnes and Vargas & Lagola.
