Armin van Buuren remixes Van Halen’s “Jump”

A dancefloor-ready take of the hard rock classic.

Armin van Buuren has released a remix of Van Halen’s 1982 classic, “Jump.”

The Dutch DJ first debuted the rework at the 2019 Ultra Music Festival in Miami and has finally made it available on all streaming platforms. His version of the track builds around the original’s iconic synth riff, adding a pulsating dance beat and speeding up the tempo.

“So I made something initially for my DJ set, ’cause I thought it would be cool to premiere it at Ultra,” Van Buuren told Rolling Stone. “So at this point, it wasn’t necessarily produced as a radio song. It’s made for a crowd going crazy, 18-to-22-year-olds dancing their socks off to a song they don’t even know was originally made in 1982.”
