Alice Glass releases solo single “Suffer and Swallow”

The ex-Crystal Castles member is expected to release her debut solo album this year.

Alice Glass is back with a new single “Suffer and Swallow,” the first track to be released from her debut solo album.

The hard-hitting track from the former Crystal Castles vocalist received an unsettling stop-motion video treatment by director Lucas David. The haunting visual is replete with creepy scenes starring a doll version of Glass attempting to fix herself while plagued by unearthly creatures.

“I’ll use your teeth for my crown but I don’t need it / Feel your face when it rips / I’ve seen it, I’ve seen it,” Glass sings.

Prior to “Suffer and Swallow,” Glass released the song “Nightmares” in September last year. The singer’s preceding single hewed closer to the visceral, electronic-industrial material she made with Crystal Castles up until her departure in 2014.

Glass’ debut solo album is expected to arrive later this year as the first major release to follow her 2017 self-titled EP. Watch the video for “Suffer and Swallow” below:
