Belgian producer Alex Lustig has already worked up a great reputation working on tracks for the likes of Young Thug, French Montana and BJ the Chicago Kid. But with his new track “The Morning,” he’s set to make waves as an electronic act in his own right.
Featuring the vocal talents of Canadian singer-songwriter Anjulie, “The Morning” kicks off with a catchy hi-hat riff, before Anjulie’s light, soulful vocals enters. “I just need one more night / ‘Til the morning / ‘Til the morning,” she sings on the chorus as the track dives into a distorted, futuristic vocal chop that turns the whole song on its head.
The track is a fresh, unique spin on some of EDM’s current trends—and it highlights why Lustig is sure to be an artist who’s going to make electronic fans around the world sit up and take notice.
