Country icon Willie Nelson has announced his 70th studio album with the release of its title track, “First Rose of Spring.”

The sublime song, which features a soulful vocal performance from Nelson, was co-written by contemporary country singer Randy Houser with Allen Shamblin and Marc Beeson. “Auburn hair like a sunrise / Sweetest smile he’d ever seen / Butterflies, they danced around her / Like the first rose of spring,” Nelson croons.

First Rose of Spring arrives April 24, just five days before Nelson’s 87th birthday on April 29. The 11-track record, produced by longtime collaborator Buddy Cannon, also features covers of songs by Toby Keith, Billy Joe Shaver, Jimmy Dean and more.
