Watch Zac Brown Band perform their brand-new single on ‘Fallon’

“Someone I Used to Know” is the band’s first offering since 2017’s ‘Welcome Home.’

Last Friday, Zac Brown Band dropped by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to debut their newest single, “Someone I Used to Know.”

Co-written by Shawn Mendes, the song is the group’s follow-up to their chart-smashing 2017 album, Welcome Home. It’s by far the band’s most pop-leaning production, a left-turn from their previous songs like the foot-stomping “Chicken Fried” and “Knee Deep,” which are heavily rooted in bluegrass.

But Brown and company took to the stage with confidence as they jammed to the irresistible tune. “It’s been a long time comin’ / Couldn’t keep on runnin’ / Had to hit rock bottom to know / When you keep on losin’,” Brown belted on the chorus.
