Watch The Marcus King Band perform “Where I’m Headed” on ‘Conan’

Marcus King and company make their television debut.

From playing shows at dive bars to performing on Conan, The Marcus King Band have come a long way. The South Carolina rockers made their television debut on Conan O’Brien’s TBS talk show on Tuesday night to perform their new song, “Where I’m Headed.”

But there were definitely no stage jitters here—Marcus King and his six-piece band worked the stage like pros, rocking out to their rollicking country blues jam. In a brown cowboy hat and matching vest, the frontman dialed his Southern charm to 11 as he kicked off the tune with his gruff vocals. Towards the end, King even took the chance to rip an impressive guitar solo for the audience.

“Where I’m Headed” is set to appear on the band’s upcoming third record, Carolina Confessions, which arrives on October 5.
