LANCO recently appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert to perform their latest single “Near Mrs.”
On the track, the Nashville country rockers celebrate their “near Mrs”—or all the past partners they’ve spent their lives with. “Here’s to all the lost chances / Last call romances / ’Cause if those near Mrs had ever come through / I would’ve missed out on you,” they sing on the chorus.
“At first glance it’s the journey of love lost leading to love found,” LANCO wrote on Instagram upon the song’s release in February. “But this song became more special over the past year as we’ve had so much time to reflect on how thankful we are for those in our lives.
“No matter how certain you can be of your path it may not work out how you planned, but hopefully at the end of that journey you end up right where you need to be and right next to the person you need to be with.”
“Near Mrs” is LANCO’s first single of 2021 and the latest in a string of singles from the band since the 2018 release of their debut album Hallelujah Nights. Watch the band perform the song from an empty bar for Colbert below:
