Wade Bowen returns with “Fell in Love on Whiskey” MV

The country singer was forced to take a break after undergoing vocal surgery.

Wade Bowen has released a spirited video for “Fell in Love on Whiskey.”

The clip stitches together footage from his 2018 live performances, including sets at Gruene Hall in Texas and the Basement East in Nashville. The vibrant visual also highlights audience members and fans enjoying themselves at the shows, while drinking—you guessed it—some alcohol.

This is Bowen’s first release in a while: He was forced to take a break last summer to recover from vocal surgery. “[My vocal problems came] right around the album release for Solid Ground,” the Texan artist explained to Rolling Stone. “We released the album in February, then I started having some issues around the end of March. It was a critical time for me to be out, but I obviously didn’t have a choice.”
