Thomas Rhett just wants to “Remember You Young”

A nostalgic tearjerker.

Thomas Rhett looks back on his youth on his new track, “Remember You Young.”

The sentimental song, written by Rhett, Jesse Frasure and Ashley Gorley, layers the country singer’s moving vocals over tender piano chords and twangy banjos. “And no matter how much time goes by / And no matter how much we grow up / For worse or for better, from now ’til forever / I’ll always remember you young,” he sings.

“We wrote this song about the people in life that we love, and always remembering them in their youth no matter how much time passes and we all change,” Rhett said in a press release. “There’s something sentimental about remembering your very best friends who have real jobs and families now tearing it up in college, or picturing me and my wife with no cares at the Tin Roof back in Knoxville.”

“Remember You Young” is the second track released from Rhett’s upcoming album, Center Point Road, following “Look What God Gave Her.” The record is due out May 31.
