Sugarland, Taylor Swift channel their inner ‘Mad Men’ in “Babe” video

It’s a 1960s-style love triangle.

Sugarland have just dropped the video for their latest single “Babe,” off their latest LP, Bigger. And it features a certain pop-country superstar named Taylor Swift.

Filmed on the Mad Men set in Los Angeles, the clip captures the same spirit of the 1960s-inspired TV show as it tells the story of a tragic love triangle. Sugarland frontwoman Jennifer Nettles plays a married housewife, and although everything looks perfect at the start, there’s something slightly off about her relationship with her husband.

Turns out, we’re right. It doesn’t take long before a red-headed, white-gloved Swift sashays in as the woman with eyes for Nettles’ man. But there’s more to this narrative than just good and bad girls—by the end of the song the right person finally gets what’s coming for him.
