Spencer Radcliffe & Everyone Else have released “Bloodletting,” the second single off their forthcoming record, Hot Spring.

Radcliffe’s psychedelia-flecked blend of folk-country is beguiling, beckoning the listener into his quirky universe. Strings, slide guitar and an assortment of other instruments rear their heads in isolation throughout the first half of “Bloodletting” before congregating in the final moments of the track.

To introduce everyone to Hot Spring, the Chicago-based artist has published on his website a peculiar, Carrollian “field guide.” The album, Radcliffe says, is “an ode to the constant underlying cosmic weirdness of everything and going through the cycles again and again and trying to stay sharp even in the face of guaranteed defeat.”

Hot Spring is out May 17 on Run For Cover Records. Listen to “Bloodletting” here:
