Saddle up, Kacey Musgraves’ “High Horse” MV is here

Watch the country princess transform into a 1970s disco queen.

Taylor Swift, who? Country’s new reigning princess, Kacey Musgraves, is still riding high on the success of her third studio album, Golden Hour. And she’s just shared the latest single off the record, “High Horse,” along with its music video.

It’s a technicolored, ’70s-inspired visual, directed by Hannah Lux Davis. In it, the country singer stars as an office clerk who’s surrounded by pesky colleagues, who get on her nerves. She falls into a quirky, glitter-filled daydream where she karaokes and dances her problems away. “So why don’t you giddy up, giddy up / And ride straight out of this town,” she croons over the energetic disco-inflected beat while exiting the party in style on a majestic white horse.
