Randy Houser drops the emotional “No Good Place to Cry”

From his new album, ‘Magnolia,’ out next month.

In the film accompanying his forthcoming album Magnolia, Randy Houser plays a guitar-toting bartender. To tease the dual releases, he’s dropped a clip of himself performing a new track, “No Good Place to Cry.”

His performance is interspersed with emotional snippets from the film, which centers on a couple struggling to navigate their relationship and other bumps on the road of life. The song’s slow and somber, featuring Houser belting over bare-bones percussion, moody organ lines and lonely guitar licks.

Magnolia, which also includes “What Whiskey Does,” is out January 11. Watch the video below:
