RaeLynn announces EP with new song “Me About Me”

The third preview of ‘Baytown.’

RaeLynn has released a tender new ballad, “Me About Me.”

The song, which was written by RaeLynn, Bob Dipiero and Jeff Garrison, details a frayed, one-sided relationship. “But the reason why I love to spend my time in the Bible / Or the reason why I play guitar to help with my survival / Or why I start to cry when I watch my daddy leave / You would know, if you asked me about me,” RaeLynn sings on the chorus.

The country singer born Racheal Lynn Woodward said “Me About Me” came from an intimate heart-to-heart conversation with a close friend. “We were talking about past relationships, and I told her about a situation with an ex where I knew everything about him, but he never asked me about me,” the singer shared in a statement. “It made me realize that I wasn’t alone, a lot of people have probably had the experience of a relationship being one-sided like that.”

“Me About Me” follows RaeLynn’s previous releases “Keep Up” and “Bra Off.” All three tracks will be included in her upcoming EP Baytown, due out August 14. The six-track project will follow her 2017 debut album WildHorse, and be her first body of work since signing with Round Here Records, a new record label started by Florida Georgia Line’s Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley.
