Nathaniel Rateliff, Lukas Nelson and Fantastic Negrito have teamed up for a soulful rendition of the Creedence Clearwater Revival classic, “Fortunate Son.”
Rateliff kicked off the energetic performance of the anti-war anthem with his rough, gritty vocals. Fantastic Negrito took over after, giving the song a bluesy spin, before Nelson came in to wrap things up with his country rock stylings. The trio came together for the choruses, backed by the McCrary Sisters.
The live collaboration was part of the Americana Music Honors & Awards, which were held back in September. The performance will be featured in the next episode of Austin City Limits, airing February 9 on PBS.
