Miranda Lambert has shared an idyllic video for “Settling Down,” from her 2019 album Wildcard.
The clip is a picture-perfect portrait of Lambert’s romance with her husband, Brendan McLoughlin. The pair spend time at a nature retreat, lazing in a hammock, cooking together and wandering hand-in-hand. Lambert goes horse-riding at one point, galloping majestically across the fields.
“My mom always told me I was a wild child and a homing pigeon,” Lambert quipped on Instagram, referencing the song’s lyrics. “‘Settling Down’ really tells that story. And it’s not just my story. It’s all of our stories.”
Lambert met McLoughlin in 2018 when he was serving as a New York police officer. The now ex-cop was tasked with patrolling the exterior of the set of Good Morning America when Lambert performed as part of the trio the Pistol Annies. Soon after—just three months, in fact—the couple got married in secret.
