A cheeky country collab you need to hear.

Miranda Lambert has released “Way Too Pretty for Prison,” a tongue-in-cheek collab with Maren Morris.

The song opens with a raucous, full-band breakdown as Lambert laughs in the background. It’s a fitting start to a devious duet that subverts expectations: Instead of following country music tradition and plotting the downfall of a good-for-nothing man, the duo refrain because they can’t abide being behind bars.

“Well, the state won’t pay for lash extensions / No Sun Tan City, not to mention / That lack of waxing situation / Oh, no,” the pair fret on the tongue-in-cheek bridge.

“Way Too Pretty for Prison” follows other similarly strong singles from Lambert’s next album, Wildcard: “Locomotive,” “It All Comes Out in the Wash,” “Mess With My Head” and “Bluebird.” Lambert’s new record will arrive November 1 via Vanner Records/RCA Records Nashville.
