Midland drop live performance video for “Mr Lonely”

Country band Midland have released a live performance video for “Mr Lonely.”

On a dimly lit soundstage, the trio launched into a stripped-down rendition of the twangy song as the camera zoomed in and out of focus. Frontman Mark Wystrach handled the vocals during the verses, but Cameron Duddy and Jess Carson jumped in with melodic harmonies during the chorus. The group broke into a brief but impressive guitar breakdown during the bridge before closing out the song.

“Mr Lonely” is a cut from the band’s forthcoming sophomore album, Let it Roll, which also includes “Put the Hurt on Me.” The record is due out August 23 via Big Machine.
