Margo Price drops surprise live album for COVID-19 relief

‘Perfectly Imperfect at the Ryman’ is out now.

Margo Price has released a surprise live album titled Perfectly Imperfect at the Ryman.

The 11-track release was recorded over Price’s three-night headlining run at Nashville’s legendary Ryman Auditorium two years ago. It features duets with Jack White, Emmylou Harris and Sturgill Simpson.

“I am so excited that we are releasing it today,” Price said of the album in a statement. “The recordings are rough and the performances are raw, but there was a magic there and the band was on fire. We played unreleased songs, alternative album versions and had lots of special guests. I hope it moves you.”

Price was slated to drop a new studio album, That’s How Rumors Get Started, on May 8, but has since postponed it to a summer release. The record will feature the tracks “Twinkle Twinkle” and “Stone Me.”

In a piece penned for Vogue, Price revealed that between having a baby in the middle of a pandemicand her husband contracting the coronavirus, the May release plan was just not possible.

Perfectly Imperfect at the Ryman was released exclusively on Bandcamp. All net profits go directly to MusiCares COVID-19 Relief Fund. Stream the album below:
