The country singer performed a cover of “(You Make Me Feel Like a) Natural Woman” live.

Almost every single musician around the globe were left shaken following the passing of Aretha Franklin. With a career spanning decades, the icon inspired artists from all eras and genres—including Maren Morris, who took the time to pay tribute to the queen of soul at a recent gig.

During her show in Las Vegas, Morris performed Franklin’s unforgettable hit, “(You Make Me Feel Like a) Natural Woman.” In a clip uploaded on Instagram by the singer’s bassist Annie Clements, the performance put the country star’s powerful vocals on display as she belted out the song’s classic chorus.

“This song is written on the souls of millions, something I realized in the short time we had at soundcheck the other day to work it up in Aretha’s honor,” the bassist wrote. “Hope you hear all these souls lifting their voices to you in heaven, Aretha and know that your spirit is in our bones here on Earth.”
