Lady Antebellum’s Hillary Scott and rising country singer Bailey Bryan have released a rousing rendition of “Perspective,” Bryan’s latest single.
The up-and-comer opens the song with her emotive vocals, singing about a love that’s helped her find a new perspective in life. “Everybody before / Pinned my wings to the floor / And they walked away / But baby, now that I’m yours / I know I’m worth so much more,” she sings.
Scott joins in during the chorus, blending her voice with Bryan’s to deliver buttery harmonies over piano chords and drum beats: “Giving me a new perspective / Seeing my reflection / From a better point of view / And it’s all because of you.”
The duet is the latest release from Cracker Barrel Old Country Store’s Five Decades, One Voice initiative. The campaign previously brought together Brandi Carlile and Tenille Townes for “Fulton County Jane Doe,” as well as Little Big Town’s Karen Fairchild and Kimberly Schlapman with singer-songwriter Ingrid Andress on a cover of the Dixie Chicks’ “Wide Open Spaces.”
