Lauren Alaina shares new single, “Getting Good”

Her first release of the year.

Lauren Alaina has released “Getting Good,” her first new single of 2019.

On the introspective song, the country singer advocates for living in the now instead of hoping for life to “get good” in the future. “Once I get a house that I can hang my hat on / I bet I’ll want to build a bigger one if I could, yeah / I’m thinking, once I learn to grow right where I’m planted / Maybe that’s when life starts getting good,” she sings.

“I’m so proud of this song and the message behind it,” Alaina wrote on Instagram. “Be present. Be thankful. Be sure that you are exactly where you are supposed to be. I hope you love it.”

Alaina previously released a video for “Ladies in the ’90s,” and teamed up with Jon Pardi on “Don’t Blame it on the Whiskey,” a duet from the latter’s new album Heartache Medication.
