Lady Antebellum return with new song, “What if I Never Get Over You”

Their first release since leaving longtime label, Capitol Nashville.

Lady Antebellum—aka Dave Haywood, Charles Kelley and Hillary Scott—have made their comeback with “What if I Never Get Over You,” their first release on Big Machine Label Group.

In classic Lady Antebellum-style, Kelley and Scott trade verses on the lush song, before Haywood joins in on the chorus. “What if I’m trying, but then I close my eyes / And then I’m right back, lost in that last goodbye / What if time doesn’t do what it’s supposed to do? / What if I never get over you?” they sing.

“It feels like a return to some of the early Lady A stuff, which has been fun. To tell a male and female perspective is just something unique that we always loved… [and ‘What If I Never Get Over You’] falls right in line with that,” Haywood told Taste of Country. “This kind of feels like a return to the core of who we are as a band, what we are and the stories we can tell,” he added.
