Kip Moore has announced a deluxe edition of his latest album, Wild World, with an emotional video for new song “Don’t Go Changing.”
According to the video’s description on YouTube, the clip was filmed at various independent music venues across Nashville, Tennessee, which included The 5 Spot, The End, The Basement, Mercy Lounge and Exit/In.
The video opens with Moore interviewing the owner of Exit/In, Chris Cobb, who opened up on the blow the pandemic has dealt to the venue. “My business has been closed for eight months. We did 20 shows a month this time last year, and this year no shows,” Cobb says. “We had reserves but they’re gone. … At this point, it’s survival mode.”
In the clip, Moore and his band travel to the different pubs to perform the rollicking song to a non-existent crowd. “These days keep changing like the weather / Everybody light as a feather / I don’t see no signs of things getting better / So girl just keep wearing leather,” the singer belts.
Towards the end of the video, Moore encourages fans to donate to Music Venue Alliance Nashville, an organization that’s helping independent music venues to ride out the pandemic. “If we don’t support these venues we love, there won’t be any venues left once things are so called « normal » again,” he wrote on Instagram.
The deluxe edition of Wild World will drop on February 12, 2021. Watch the video for “Don’t Go Changing” below:
