Kenny Chesney has released a brand-new single, “Tip of My Tongue.”

The country singer gets romantic on the loved-up song, which features lyrics co-penned by Chesney, Ed Sheeran and frequent collaborator Ross Copperman. “It’s a long way down to the center of your soul / It’s a long way down and I’m a loaded gun / But I love your salt and sugar on the tip of my tongue,” goes the chorus.

“It took us a couple of hours and once we got into the idea of the song, and started exploring the song, in a lot of ways [it] wrote itself,” Chesney explained to iHeartMedia. “It really did, because it was just such a fun writing session with two guys that I really respect. It’s always good to write with people that you don’t necessarily write with all the time.”

“Tip of My Tongue” is Chesney’s first new release since his Songs for the Saints LP, which dropped last July. He recently joined Caroline Jones on her latest single, “Gulf Coast Girl.”
