Kelsea Ballerini recently dropped by Jimmy Kimmel Live! to perform songs from her forthcoming third studio album, Kelsea.

The country singer kicked off her set with a touching rendition of her single, “Homecoming Queen?,” which was released last September. “But what if I told you the world wouldn’t end / If you started showing what’s under your skin / What if you let ’em all in on the lie? / Even the homecoming queen cries,” she crooned over a gentle guitar melody.

She later returned for a performance of “LA.” On the song, the singer explores her “love and hate relationship” with the titular city and its entertainment industry: “Sometimes it feels like it’s all real / But nothin’ here is as it seems / I ask myself, does it feed my soul or my anxiety? / Carpet’s red, ego’s fed, but it’s myself that I have to face.”

Besides “Homecoming Queen?” and “LA,” Ballerini previously previewed Kelsea with “Club.” The record is due out March 20 via Black River Entertainment. Watch Ballerini perform on Kimmel below:
