John Moreland has released “When My Fever Breaks,” a new love song that appears on his upcoming album LP5.
Moreland first started writing the heartfelt song three years ago, penning the first verse when he started dating the woman who is now his wife. “It took me a long time to write it,” the Tulsa, Oklahoma-based songwriter said in a statement. “It was hard to figure out, how do I write the kind of love song that I am comfortable with?”
Moreland’s LP5 comes three years after his last album, Big Bad Luv. The new album was produced by Matt Pence, and marks the first time Moreland worked with an outside producer. LP5 is out February 7 via Old Omens/Thirty Tigers.
