Elle King, Miranda Lambert let loose in video for “Drunk”

Things get wild in the clip for the boozy new collab.

Elle King and Miranda Lambert have released a video for their new single, “Drunk (And I Don’t Wanna Go Home).”

King and Lambert’s catchy country pop track was inspired by a true story that “sums up our wild friendship,” King said in a statement. “Miranda is someone I have looked up to as a songwriter, musician, performer and human being for a long time. So our tumbleweed snowball story of getting to know each other is the ultimate real deal kinda thing. Nobody revs me up, kicks my ass on stage, or treats me more like family than Miranda Lambert.”

The “Drunk” music video stars King and Lambert, all glammed up and letting loose in uproarious wedding celebrations, trading places as the bridesmaid and bride. The pair last collaborated in 2019 on a cover of Elvin Bishop’s 1975 blues rock track “Fooled Around and Fell in Love,” alongside other female country singers, which won them the Academy of Country Music Award for Vocal Event of the Year.

“Drunk” is King’s first release of the year, and her latest single following “Another You” and “The Let Go.” Though her last album was 2018’s Shake the Spirit, she dropped an EP of lockdown songs titled In Isolation.

Lambert, on the other hand, released “Champion” last November. The song was a collaboration with Scarlett Burke for her audio drama Make it Up as We Go.
