Danielle Bradbery releases new single, “Never Have I Ever”

Her first original single in two years.

Danielle Bradbery has released an emotional ballad, “Never Have I Ever,” her first new song in over two years.

Co-written by Bradbery, Laura Veltz and David Hodges, the song narrates the bubbling emotions of nervousness and excitement that come from a new romantic relationship. “Never have I ever felt my heart / Feel calm and so excited at the same time / Thought you weren’t real but here you are / But never have I ever felt like,” Bradbery confesses on the piano-driven track.

“When writing this song, we wanted to capture that feeling where you’re in a new relationship and you’re terrified of the intense feelings you have, but you’re so excited at the same time,” the singer-songwriter shared in a statement. “We really tried to put that whirlwind of emotions into words. It’s honest and vulnerable, and I can’t wait for everyone to hear it.”

Last year, Bradbery released acoustic covers of three pop hits: Post Malone’s “Psycho”, Ariana Grande’s “God is a Woman” and Kacey Musgraves’ “Slow Burn.” She also teamed up with rising country singer Parker McCollum to record a rendition of “Shallow,” the beloved Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper duet from A Star is Born.
