Dan + Shay collaborate with Justin Bieber on “10,000 Hours”

A shoo-in for wedding playlists around the world.

Country duo Dan + Shay have released “10,000 Hours,” their loved-up collaboration with Justin Bieber that serves as a saccharine preview of their upcoming album.

Besides Dan + Shay and Bieber, the song also features songwriting contributions from Jordan Reynolds, Jessie Jo Dillon and frequent Bieber collaborator Poo Bear. It takes author and thought leader Malcolm Gladwell’s theory that it takes 10,000 hours of practice to master any skill, and applies it to romance and relationships.

“I’d spend 10,000 hours, and 10,000 more / If that’s what it takes to learn that sweet heart of yours / And I might never get there, but I’m gonna try / If it’s 10,000 hours for the rest of my life, I’m gonna love you,” the chorus goes.

The timing of “10,000 Hours” could not be sweeter: The song—which Bieber described on Instagram as “wedding music”—arrived just days after the pop star made headlines by holding a second wedding ceremony with his wife Hailey Baldwin in North Carolina.

Dan + Shay and Bieber later released a romantic music video, which features the trio opposite their respective real-life partners. Check it out below:
